Unlike most mountain lodges in the Kaz Mountains, this friendly and simple hotel located on the edge of a mountain village faces north. Beyond the village, you can fill your lungs with oxygen in some of Turkey’s most beautiful forests. There dozens of walking paths to choose from.

You can also get a mud bath at one of the local springs, but keep in mind that opening hours are somewhat erratic. Holy springs, or “ayazma” are also good destinations for an excursion, but they tend to be crowded at weekends. The hotel is composed of two units. The “living” area, all stone and wood, is particularly cosy and inviting. The rooms were left quite plain, perhaps to avoid distracting from the spectacular view and the woods. Meals are good and wine flows aplenty.
